• Challenge
The challenge
Long, uninterrupted paint shops and assembly halls leave little room for permanent fire walls. Curtain runs had to span the full bay width without gaps, with overlapping sections still performing as a continuous barrier.
• Solution
Our approach
Continuous overlapping curtain spans rather than multiple shorter standard-width curtains. Overlap performance was reviewed with SMCC. Installation followed as-approved revised drawings, including Assembly Building-A.
Standards
Fire curtain systems manufactured and tested to EN 12101-1 and EN 1634, produced under ISO 9001:2015. CE marking and Declaration of Performance available on request.
Outcomes
- Documented spans of 59 m and 131 m at 4 m height
- Integrity, construction and structural load clarified with SMCC before finalisation
- Additional passive fire and door products supplied to the same site
