• Challenge

The challenge

The terminal needed 'Fire Cavity' compartments across openings from 3.6 m × 3.25 m up to 24 m × 5.65 m, with shop drawings approved before fabrication and a parallel automatic curtain package on the same EPC-1 works.

• Solution

Our approach

2-hour fixed fire curtains engineered individually for each of seven openings, with shop drawings taken through Tata Projects' approval process. Automatic WFC-01 and WFC-02 data sheets were revised against client comments so both packages stayed aligned.

Airport compartmentation

Large-volume terminals have few natural barriers to fire and smoke. Curtains that deploy automatically - without relying on power, water or human intervention - divide the building into contained zones and protect means of escape.

Outcomes

  • Seven openings, 3.6 m to 24 m wide
  • 357.9 m² of fixed-curtain compartmentation
  • Parallel automatic fire curtain scope on the same EPC-1 contract
